About Miss Skinner:
I graduated from Athens State University with a degree in Elementary Education in 2015. This is my second year at Johnson Elementary and I am so ready for another exciting year! I have two amazing blessings that I call Mom and Dad. I am in love with my 4lb fur baby, Livi. I enjoy working out at Crossfit Gardendale, grocery shopping, cooking, spending time with family and friends, attending Move Church and of course shopping! Teaching is truly my passion, and I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and inspiring atmosphere to learn! I hope to inspire my students to be the best learners they can be as I share my passion for learning with them! |
Are you ready for Third Grade? WE ARE! Third grade is a big year! You will learn to be more independent with your studies and will be given more responsibilities. We will be working in whole groups, small groups, and independently. We will engage in group discussions about different texts, learning how to respectfully argue our opinions and share our individual thinking! We will actively engage through the use of technology to research Native Americans, famous historians, and a variety of animals. We will dig deep in mathematics by using an learning new strategies to solve multi-step problems. We will even learn our multiplication facts and perform many science experiments.
